Whole Body Cryotherapy

Whole Body Cryotherapy involves exposing the body to temperatures colder than negative 200 degrees F for three minutes.  Cryotherapy aids in muscular and joint pain relief. It also increases circulation, reduces inflammation, tightens skin and reduces appearance of cellulite.   Cryotherapy is a natural detox and energy boost.

You stand in a special enclosed chamber for 3-4  minutes while cold air at temperatures between -160 to -200 degrees Fahrenheit circulates around your body. For an optimal whole body cryotherapy session, we recommend keeping the front window of the chamber closed.  For those feeling a little claustrophobic, we do have the ability to open the front window.

Cryotherapy is a great option for those who are hoping to achieve pain relief and other improvements without invasive procedures or reliance on pharmaceuticals. This approach stimulates your body’s circulation, metabolism, and innate healing powers.

What are the benefits of cryotherapy?

Cryotherapy offers numerous benefits. Some of the positive effects include:

  • Lessening of migraine symptoms

  • Improvement in mood disorders

  • Reduction in arthritis pain

  • Hastened muscle repair

  • Tighter skin

  • Weight-loss support

  • Reduced inflammation

  • Prevention from dementia

  • Improvement in eczema symptoms

Many men and women are so impressed by their experience with cryotherapy they incorporate treatments into their monthly wellness routine. Others come in to address specific sports injuries or joint health complaints.

What happens during cryotherapy sessions?

Cryotherapy sessions take very little time and can easily be incorporated into your normal daily routine. When you arrive for your session you can disrobe to your level of comfort. A robe, socks, gloves, warm slippers, earmuffs, and face mask will be provided.

Once treatment begins, you’ll feel the temperature drop quickly. It’s normal to get shivers and to feel a slight degree of discomfort as the cold air circulates. But you’ll never feel symptoms of hypothermia, and you won’t remain in the chamber long enough to threaten your health.

Treatments take just a few moments, then you can change back into your normal clothing and get back to your day.
