Red Light Therapy 

Red light therapy is a therapeutic technique that uses low-intensity, red wavelengths of light for skin treatment and healing. One of the key benefits of red light therapy is its ability to stimulate collagen production, improve skin tone, and reduce wrinkles, making it a popular choice for anti-aging treatments. It can also help with wound healing, reduce inflammation and joint pain, and improve skin complexion.
 

There are two specific wavelengths often highlighted in red light therapy: 660 nm and 850 nm. The 660 nm wavelength, being closer to the visible light spectrum, is efficiently absorbed in the outer layers of the skin, making it effective for cosmetic treatments related to skin health, wound healing, and scar reduction. On the other hand, the 850 nm wavelength is part of the near-infrared light spectrum. It penetrates deeper than 660 nm, reaching into soft tissues, muscles, joints, and bone. Consequently, the 850 nm wavelength is commonly used to aid in the recovery of sports injuries, reduce joint pain, and assist with issues related to muscle recovery.
 

The duration of red light therapy sessions can vary based on the specific condition being treated and the device being used. However, most sessions typically range from 11 to 15 minutes.
